Turnpike South Bound Lanes are Back Open in Boca Raton

The Florida Highway Patrol reported a wreck involving the rollover of a flatbed truck on the Florida Turnpike Thursday morning.

The rollover resulted in a chemical spill onto the highway which caused a  major traffic delays.

As a result, southbound lanes were closed Thursday morning and reopened at around 11 a.m.

According the WPTV, the Florida Highway Patrol stated the wreck happened in the southbound lanes at mile marker 78, north of Yamato in Boca Raton.

The Fire Rescue reported that HAZMAT crews had responded to the situation after truck rollover caused spilled a pressure cleaning chemical onto the Turnpike.
