The following is offered as an update on the reopening of the Camino Bridge based on a recent site inspection by the County Engineer:
- Most of the structural work is complete;
- Electrical work is behind schedule. The electrical subcontractor is currently wiring the main power cabinets in the bridge house and working underneath the bridge;
- Once the electrical work is complete, the contractor will perform a complete system check on the operation of the bridge;
- Before the bridge can be put back in service FDOT will perform a final inspection.
The bridge should be operational in the next 4 weeks.
My office will request an update in approximately two weeks which we will share, upon receipt.
