Shoppers Invited to Take Advantage of Extended Tax-Free Dates and Back-to-School Specials
Boca RAton, FL – Town Center at Boca Raton invites area residents and visitors to enjoy this year’s extended tax-free shopping dates and prime savings on back-to-school fashions.
Town Center at Boca Raton is pleased to offer shoppers the opportunity to purchase back-to-school necessities without paying sales tax on qualifying items in accordance with the Florida Sales Tax Holiday. The 5-day sales tax break begins on Friday, August 2 and runs through Tuesday, August 6. During this period, qualifying items will be exempt from tax including: certain school supplies selling for $15 or less per item; and clothing, footwear, and certain accessories selling for $60 or less per item; and computers and certain accessories selling for $1,000 or less per item, when purchased for noncommercial or personal use.

Town Center at Boca Raton and The Education Foundation of Palm Beach County are teaming up for a Back-to-School Supply Drive at the mall benefitting The Education Foundation of Palm Beach County’s Red Apple Supplies Store. The community is encouraged to donate new school supplies to the drive during mall hours through August 4. Guests can drop off their donations at Simon Guest Services or the Cafés at Boca in Town Center at Boca Raton.
