4th of July – Safety Tips for Pets During Fireworks

Boca Raton, FL – More dogs go missing on the fourth than on any other day of the year. July 4 can also be a perilous time for dogs and other pets because of the new foods, chemicals and toys that might be introduced to the house on this festive occasion.
 
What’s fun for you can be scary for your pets. State Farm wants you and your pets to be safe this 4th of July. Here are some safety tips:
Be prepared in the event that your pet does escape. Keep your pets’ IDs up to date! It’s a good idea for all your animal companions—even indoor-only pets—to always wear a collar with an ID tag that includes your name, current phone number and any relevant contact information.
