ORBCOMM to Establish Regional HQ in Boca Raton

The Business Development Board of Palm Beach County, in cooperation with the City of Boca Raton, Palm Beach County, and the State of Florida, worked together to help facilitate the expansion of ORBCOMM Inc, a global provider of Machine-to-Machine solutions, connecting businesses to their remote and mobile assets to foster increased visibility and operational efficiency.

ORBCOMM will create over 30 new jobs with average salaries exceeding $76,000 at its new 11,500 sq. ft. office slated to open in Boca Raton before Labor Day. The expansion will create a capital investment of $580,000 into the Palm Beach County economy.

The company plans to transform its current office into its Regional Headquarters.

ORBCOMM is a global leader and innovator in the industrial Internet of Things supporting the transformation of industry through digitization and automation, an asset that will align with all of the innovation taking place in Boca Raton.

The Business Development Board, under the leadership of its president & CEO, Kelly Smallridge, assisted in this company expansion by connecting it with multiple incentive programs through the State of Florida, Palm Beach County, and the City of Boca Raton. Smallridge was able to offer an incentive package totaling $192,000.

Smallridge also provided workforce data and insight of Palm Beach County’s labor force in the information technology sector.
