Delray String Quartet Named Artist-in-Residence with Music at St. Paul’s 2019-2020 Season

Delray String Quartet

Boca Raton, FL – Music at St. Paul’s is proud to announce its 32nd season of classical music in Delray Beach. The 2019-2020 Season features several collaborations with local performing arts organizations.

Most notably, the Delray String Quartet has been named Artist-in-Residence for the 2019-2020 season. Through this partnership, the DSQ will give three Sunday afternoon concerts during the regular series (September 22, 2019; March 29, 2020; May 31, 2020). In addition, the Delray String Quartet will perform two concerts “in the round” on Friday nights (January 24, 2020; February 28, 2020). The DSQinTheRound programs will feature the quartet in the center of the St. Paul’s Parish Hall, with audience seating on all sides. In the spirit of historical salon concerts, this is an intensely intimate way to experience chamber music! These special reserved-seating programs will be followed by meet-the-artists receptions.

Music at St. Paul’s also continues its collaboration with Lynn University Conservatory of Music, presenting, for the second year, finalist ensembles from their annual Chamber Music Competition (Sunday, January 19, 2020). For years, St. Paul’s has been hosting monthly meetings of the Palm Beach Chapter of the American Recorder Society, but this season, Music at St. Paul’s will partner with them to present a master artist, recorder player Anne Timberlake with lutenist Adam Cockerham (Sunday, February 9, 2020).

These organizational partnerships are only a part of what has led Music at St. Paul’s to its fourth decade. All of the 2019-2020 Season artists are in partnership with Music at St. Paul’s, and this season’s roster is exceptional!
