Where were you last week?

On a picture-perfect Sunday afternoon, Doug and Alexandra Karram-Feurring hosted a cocktail reception for Boca Beach Chabad’s Women of Valor.  Boca Beach Chabad has created the Women of Valor platform to celebrate the lives and share the stories of Jewish women. No Jewish woman is ordinary, and women are dominating public conversations and agendas more than ever before.

The program features a tribute book and website designed to celebrate, share and gift the stories of Jewish women who inspire and build their families and community.

The 100-page tribute book will be edited by Lieba Rudolph and designed by interior designer and artist Alexandra Karram. Karram’s late mother Miriam, whose legacy was the impetus behind the project, is also featured in the Woman of Valor Tribute Book.

“In the fractured world in which we live, we need to hear the voices, life experiences and insight of women today more than ever before,” said Rabbi Ruvi New, Director and Spiritual Leader of Boca Beach Chabad.

“Every woman has a story waiting to be told and being included among Women of Valor is a gift of appreciation that lasts a lifetime and beyond,” said Ahuva New, co-director of the Boca Beach Chabad. “These stories spread the light of Jewish women via their experiences and highlight what is extraordinary about each of our mothers, grandmothers, wives, sisters, aunts, cousins and friends.”

Inclusion in the ‘Women of Valor’ book a beautiful gesture of love and gratitude.

On Thursday evening, 30 graduating high school students received a full scholarship to a variety of Florida Universities. The Viner Community Scholarship is a program that provides South Palm Beach County High School students with four-year scholarships to colleges and universities in the State of Florida public educational system.

A mentor network is created for the students in order to provide them with the guidance and support necessary to keep them on track as potential issues arise during their tenure at college and to ensure the highest possible college graduation rates.

Eda and Cliff Viner officially began their Foundation in May 2015 and immediately put together a team to help them get off the ground. They enlisted the talent of Dr. Donna Holland, a renowned child psychiatrist, as the Mentoring Program Director and Michael Rosenfeld, a highly respected peak performance and motivational speaker, as Student Advisor. Together, the team is able to achieve the goal of educating young accomplished students from our community.

It is Eda and Cliff’s belief that educating and providing the tools for success, will allow the scholarship recipients to achieve their goals and impact their lives, and, in turn, their families, our community and eventually our world.
