T. Leroy Jefferson Medical Society Hosts 2nd Annual Luncheon Awards on March 16th to Recognize Extraordinary Community Healthcare Leaders

Boca Raton, FL –  T. Leroy Jefferson Medical Society (TLJMS) will host its Second Annual Awards Luncheon on Saturday, March 16, 2019. The event will take place from 11:30 am to 2: 00 pm at the PGA National Resort and Spa, 400 Ave of the Champions, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33418. Event sponsors include VITA Healthcare and Pfizer Pharmaceuticals.

The TLJMS Awards recognizes healthcare leaders in our community. It is an opportunity to meet and socialize with local physicians, healthcare professionals, business executives, and others. There will be valuable networking, live entertainment, and a fabulous lunch. The keynote speaker at the awards ceremony will be B. David Blake, MD, DABFM. Dr. Blake is the Associate Medical Director for VITAS Healthcare. Dr. Blake is currently serving as Vice President of the Georgia State Medical Association for the 2018-2020 term. In 2018, Dr. Blake was appointed President of the Morehouse School of Medicine National Alumni Association serving until 2020. He is a long-standing member of the National Medical Association, the Georgia Academy of Family Physicians, and the American Academy of Family Physicians.

“It is crucial that we recognize those within our community who are leading the way,” said Dr. Tiffany McCalla, TLJMS Board President, “These awards are given to those who live our mission, with a commitment to service, integrity, and excellence.”

For more than 70 years, TLJMS has improved health and wellness in our community. We have done this through health fairs, community education, professional development and youth development services. TLJMS is a 501(c)3 organization comprised of healthcare professionals united to improve the health and wellness, access to medical care, academic and career opportunities, and the quality of life for underserved populations through the provision of healthcare, education and youth development services.
