Greater Fort Lauderdale Food & Wine Festival – March 22-24, 2019

“Inaugural 3-day Festival debuts in ArtsPark at Young Circle, with over 100 Restaurants, Spirit Brands, Wineries, and Breweries!”

Get ready for the inaugural launch of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Food & Wine Festival. Over 100 local restaurants, breweries, and wineries are expected to participate in this brand new, three-day festival, taking place at the festive ArtsPark at Young Circle in Hollywood,  all to benefit Feeding South Florida. 

 

     

Highlighting the 3-day Festival is the Grand Tasting on Saturday, March 23 from 1:00 – 5:00 pm at the ArtsPark at Young Circle in Hollywood, with unlimited food tastings, wine and beer, cooking demos, live music, art installations from local talent, and more!  Don’t miss this wonderful chance to savor unlimited tastings from dozens of Broward County’s outstanding eateries, along with endless pours of craft beers, wines, live entertainment, and more. The lineup of restaurants is quite impressive, including (so far): Angelo Elia – The Bakery Bar, Bar Rita Mexican Taqueria, Bravo! Peruvian Cuisine,  Buzz Pop Cocktails, Casa Calabria,  Casa D’Angelo, Casheeze, Circ Hotel, Conrad Ft. Lauderdale Beach, Colada Cuban Coffee House & Eatery, Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant, Darrell & Oliver’s Café Maxx,  DoubleTree Resort Hollywood Beach, Dr. Limon Ceviche Bar, Funky Buddha Brewery, Hickory Sticks BBQ, Lobster Bar Sea Grille, Margaritaville Beach Resort, Match Box Vintage Pizza Bistro, Mimi’s Ravioli, Olivia, Piazza Italia, Port South Bar & Grill, Taco CraftTemple Street EateryThe Capital Grille, Tower Club, Vegan Delicacies, Zalie Cakes, and more!  And you can match this fine fare with an endless array of  fine wines, craft beers, and spirits, including Chané Rose, Stolen Whiskey, and a few hundred more!

       

Chefs will by vying for the coveted “Best Bite”  People’s Choice Award and a Judges’ Choice Award judged by local celebrity foodie judges.  There will also be several live Cooking Demonstrations throughout the day, by celebrity chefs Angelo Elia of Casa D’Angelo; Diego Ng & Alex Kuk of Temple Street Eatery, and Chef Jorge Ramos of the Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach. Proceeds from the Grand Tasting go to benefit Feeding South Florida, and its valiant efforts to feed hungry  children right here in south Florida.

Sunday brings the Free Family Day & Food Drive is on Sunday, March 24. This event is free, with a suggested donation of 4 canned goods per person, which will go directly to Feeding South Florida; and/or a new unwrapped toy,  that will go directly to Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital.

A big Kick-off event is scheduled for Friday, March 22 in Fort Lauderdale (place TBD).

Chef Angelo Elia, the award-winning Chef and owner of Casa D’Angelo, etc., is the Host Chef of the inaugural Festival, and will also delight the attendees with a unique cooking demonstration. “I am extremely excited and honored to be the Host Chef of the Inaugural Greater Fort Lauderdale Food & Wine Festival,” says the famed Chef, “Broward County includes many of the country’s top chefs, and now we get to show off our culinary chops!
