Concours D’ Elegance and The Hangar Party – Feb 22-24

“Culinary and Cars Collide at World-class Events”

Attention auto enthusiasts, classic motorcycle fans, fellow foodies & wine lovers, motorheads, and party-goers of all sorts: The Concours d’ Elegance and Hangar Party are almost here!

For the past 12 years, fans have flocked come from across the country to Boca Raton for the esteemed Concours d’ Elegance.  This three-day, world-class extravaganza is one of the finest concourses (vintage car shows) in the country, showcasing classic and vintage cars, motorcycles, and other vehicles, all set upon the majestic greens of the Boca Raton Resort and Club. In fact, The Boca Raton Concours d’Elegance is the largest for-charity concours event in the world!

This year’s event, “The 13th Annual Boca Raton Concours d’ Elegance presented by Mercedes-Benz and AutoNation” once again features the nation’s top car geek, Mr. Jay Leno, who will preside over all three days’ events

It all kicks off Friday, February 22, with the celebrated duPont Registry Live Hangar Party, held at Atlantic Aviation at the Boca Raton Airport, from 6:00 – 9:00 pm. This is a unique opportunity to have an up-close-and-personal experience with an array of exotic new cars, ultra-motorcycles, luxury boats and sleek private jets – and get the chance to schmooze with Mr. Jay Leno himself.  And of course, also indulge on unlimited samplings from some of the city’s finest restaurants (nearly 30!), along with fine wines, craft beers, and select spirits.  Live entertainment and local premier vendors further add to the festive atmosphere.

Saturday (Feb. 23) features various educational automotive seminars (including a special tribute to 100 year anniversary of Bentley Motorcars), followed by The Grand Gala Dinner, Auction & Show at the Boca Raton Resort & Club, featuring headline entertainer and emcee Mr. Jay Leno.  Guests will also have the opportunity to peruse and bid on a unique array of items at the silent auction during the pre-dinner cocktail party; and then further bid on unique experience packages and high-end prizes during the live auction following the gourmet dinner. Additional features of the evening include presentation of the Racing Automotive Lifetime Achievement Award to Ryan Hunter Reay and National Automotive Lifetime Achievement Award to Mercedes-Benz USA President & CEO, Dietmar Exler as well as a stellar performance by one of the one and only Jay Leno.

Sunday (Feb. 24) begins with an exclusive Sunday Brunch with Jay Leno at the Boca Raton Resort & Club, where guests can join Jay Leno and Wayne Carini, Host of TV Show Chasing Classic Cars for an intimate brunch with a Q&A session and Keith Martin, Publisher of Sports Car Market Magazine: ($1,000 per person).

Then comes the main event: The Boca Raton Concours d’ Elegance automobile and motorcycle exhibition, starting at 10:00 am. Guests from around the world will experience an automotive showcase like no other, featuring vehicles and motorcycles from an array of time periods.  Jay Leno will be presenting the “Big Dog Garage Award” to his favorite automobile and motorcycle, and then join expert panel of world-renowned expert judges. Awards will be given to the finest vintage, antique, classic and exotic vehicles based on period, presentation and overall style.

In addition to the incredible collection of vintage vehicles, guests also get to stroll, sample, and sip their way through the Concours d’ Gourmet Pavilion (starting at 11:30), offering unlimited gourmet samplings of food, wine and cocktails from South Florida’s finest restaurants.  Don’t miss this amazing opportunity to savor unlimited samplings from the area’s finest restaurants, along with fine wines and spirits, and socialize with other party-goers, while marveling at the spectacular vehicles spanning over a century.  Nearly 30 restaurants and catering companies are confirmed (so far) for Fridays’ Hangar Party and/or Sunday’s Gourmet Pavilion, including:  A Alexander Catering, Abe & Louie’s, B&B Cappuccino Co., BGCBC Culinary, Casa d’ Angelo, Café Med, Dubliner, Frank & Dino’s, Enerbee, GourmetPhile, Joji, Loch Bar, Oceans 234, Ouzo Bay, Pizza Paradise, Potions in Motion, Raw Juce, Runyon’s,  Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Seasons 52, Sette Bello Ristorante, Sette Mezzo Ristorante, Sunset Catch, TanzyTaverna Opa, Temper Grille, The Tree Cafe, Vino Wine Bar, and of course, The Boca Raton Resort & Club – plus many more.
