City Council Vote 5-0 Turns Down Development

Boca Raton,Fl  -After more than three hours hearing of why a private property owner should build on the beach, the City Council voted  5-0 to NOT support beach development at 2600 N Ocean

The Boca Raton City Council unanimously denied the request for a variance to build beyond the coastal construction control line. The application by a private landowner to seek a variance that would have allowed a four-story beach house east of A1A at 2600 N. Ocean Blvd was denied at the 2/26 City Council meeting.

The City Council decision preserves the City’s Code of Ordinances.

At the hearing, the applicant’s attorney hinted that they might file a lawsuit to challenge the City Council  decision.

Send a THANK YOU to your elected officials for not supporting beach development, and for preserving and protecting our City’s code.
