Blueprint’s New Roman-Themed Game Aims to Conquer Its Rivals

Blueprint Gaming’s latest contribution to the online gaming world makes its debut this month, and the providers have chosen to go with a Roman-empire theme. Thus far, other developers have had the edge in this genre, but with a wealth of features and dirt-cheap bets, the software producer will be hoping to get in on the action.

Rome: Rise of an Empire is equipped with all the sorts of imagery a decent Ancient Rome-themed game should be, but it also offers ten special features to turn up the heat on rival producer’s titles and give it an edge as it launches this week at popular Blueprint Gaming sites.

Bountiful Base Game Bonuses

The new 5-reel slot offers up 20 lines – a far cry from the recent MegaWays slots that Blueprint have recently been producing – and can be played for as little as 20p per spin, or as much as £500 a game. All the symbols in the release offer decent cash prizes in relation to those stakes, but some symbols are more prosperous than others.

SPQR standards (shown with an eagle on top) can deliver big wins, while a series of randomly triggered bonuses occurs whenever a tiger – which was commonly found in gladiatorial contests – appears on the reels. Some of the array of features which may occur include instant win bonus rounds, a series of stacked and expanding multiplier wilds, the removal of low-paying icons, guaranteed five-of-a-kind combos, and the opportunity to trigger one of 5 special bonus rounds.

The Big Five Features

When the bonus feature begins, a fortune wheel will determine which of the rounds is activated. These can include two instant win games whereby cash prizes are doled out based on selections, and a further dose of special wilds. Two free spin bonuses can also be won via the feature, while the best prizes are up for grabs if the fortune wheel selects the Big Money Bonus. In the latter, it is possible to win up to 500x a bet.

This newly released slot is Blueprint Gaming’s first foray into the Roman theme of casino games. It will directly compete with Victorious (Net Entertainment), and the motion-picture themed Gladiator game from Playtech. The latter can be played as a progressive release, but contains far fewer features than Rome: Rise of an Empire. This could see the latter gain that all-important advantage as it debuts this month.
