Individuals with Intellectual & Development Disabilities as Models

 10  JARC Clients, Plus their Families and Friends Will Walk the
Runway at Lord & Taylor in Boca Raton in Front of Sold-Out Crowd!

WHAT: In front of a sold-out crowd of over 125 guests, 10 individuals with intellectual or development disabilities will walk the runway and show off various fashions from Lord & Taylor in Boca Raton. The JARC FL Clients will be supported by their family and friends, who will join them as they strut along the catwalk to the emceeing of entertainer Sam Simon.

“A fashion show with heart!” is being put on by JARC FL, a non-profit, non-sectarian organization that provides program and services to educate and empower individuals with intellectual and development disabilities, for the third consecutive year! The show will feature JARC Clients, family and friends dressed in the latest fashions provided by Lord & Taylor. The event is co-chaired by Carin Friedman and Stacy Klein.

WHEN: Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at 11:30am to 1:30pm

WHERE: Lord & Taylor, 200 Plaza Real, Boca Raton, FL 33432

WHO: 10 JARC FL Clients (who have intellectual or developmental disabilities), along with their family and friends (eight additional people) will walk the runway. Master magician, motivator, and entertainer Sam Simon will serve as Master of Ceremonies throughout the event.

COST: Event is Sold Out!

DETAILS: Sponsors are Charmed Life HomeCare, Andover Real Estate, Parkshore PharmaCon, and Caryn J. Clayman, Esq. Light Bites will be provided by Cafe 95, which is operated on JARC FL’s campus and employs individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. All attendees will receive a gift!

JARC Florida, a non-sectarian organization based in Boca Raton, provides group homes, apartments and vocational training for adults with developmental disabilities. It strives to assist each individual with becoming all he or she is capable of being and encourages this growth in a caring, nurturing environment. It is the mission of JARC, in partnership with the families of its clients, to promote independence, dignity, and self-respect in order to create more fulfilling lives. JARC currently operates ten group homes in the Boca Raton and Delray Beach area for adults with developmental disabilities. JARC offers apartment living for those who do not require 24-hour supervision as well as vocational training in the Mel & Elaine Stein Living and Learning Center.
