Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again: ABBA’s Eminent Return

Popular Swedish music group “ABBA” has been entertaining listeners for generations. They are celebrated for their wide collection of hits. One of which being the classic disco era anthem “Dancing Queen”, which was inducted into the Grammy Hall Of Fame in 2015. After 35 years of no new music, 2018 will unleash their long-awaited return.

Between the years of 1972 and 1983 they put out 11 albums, 8 of which consecutively reached number one on the music charts in the UK. With over 5.3 million copies sold, their unforgettable record “Gold” remains to be the United Kingdom’s second best-selling album and most successful pop band of all time.

Band members include Benny Andersson, Anni-Frid Lyngstad AKA (Frida), Agnetha Fältskog and Björn Ulvaeus. Together they have sold about 400 million record copies worldwide throughout the course of their career. It comes as no surprise that the leading Broadway musical and Hollywood film “Mamma Mia!” is based around popular ABBA songs.

It has been confirmed that they will soon be releasing two new songs. One of which, “I still have faith in you” will debut on a BBC broadcast special in December 2018. The announcement coincides with the July 2018 movie release of “Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again” starring Meryl Streep, Amanda Seyfried, Cher, Pierce Bronson, Colin Firth and many more. There has also been discussion of a hologram “reunion” tour in 2019.
