Lynn University announces 2019 season of the Mabel Mercer Foundation’s Cabaret at Lincoln Center Comes to Live at Lynn

 Marta Sanders starring in Follow Me: Jan. 16

 BOCA RATON, FL – Lynn University and Jan McArtproducer and director of theatre arts program development, today announced that the popular Mabel Mercer Foundation’s Cabaret at Lincoln Center Comes to Live at Lynn series will return for a third season on five Wednesdays January through May. Leading cabaret artists will present intimate evenings of song, story and joie de vivre in the Keith C. and Elaine Johnson Wold Performing Arts Center.

Series subscriptions are available at $150, with individual concert tickets only $40. They can be purchased by phone at +1 561-237-9000, online atevents/lynn.edu, or at the box office.

Marta Sanders starring in Follow Me

The celebrated Sanders returns in a globetrotting performance exploring her twin passions: New York – and the rest of the world. With musical director John McMahon on piano, Sanders interweaves songs of travel, merriment and transition.

Dana Bacher in Get Happy

Singer/saxophonist Bacher honors the three Louis – Armstrong, Jordan and Prima – from his show directed by the legendary Marilyn Maye, with selections from his second album. The New York Times called Bacher “a prodigiously talented musical preservationist.”

Tammy McCann presents The Legendary Ladies of Jazz: Ella, Sarah, Dinah and Billie

McCann journeys to the romantic ‘40s jazz era dominated by a bluesy New Orleans sound, when four unique women rose to prominence and changed the direction of popular music: Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughn, Dinah Washington and Billie Holiday.

Mark Nadler in Cole Porter After Dark

Exploring the wit, passion and romance of Cole Porter’s randy late-night musings, Nadler sprinkles the tender letters Porter wrote with his light and witty creations in an exhilarating performance full of merriment and vibrant arrangements.
