Five of Six Candidates Confirmed for Boca Raton Tribune Candidate Forum

Five of the six candidates running for office in the August 28 special Election in Boca Raton have confirmed their presence at The Boca Raton Tribune Candidate Forums that will take place on August 17 and 24.

All Seat A Candidates, Andy Thomson, Kathy Cottrell, and Tamara McKee have confirmed their presence for the Seat A forum on August 17 at the Boca Raton Community Center. Mayoral candidates Al Zuccaro, and Bernard Korn have confirmed their presence for the Mayor Forum on August 24, also at the Boca Raton Community Center. Interim Mayor Scott Singer has yet to respond.

“We are very excited about this year’s Candidate Forums,” said Boca Raton Tribune publisher Douglas Heizer. “Every time we have this event the residents come with an open mind and are always ready to listen to each candidate. I’m thrilled that five of the six candidates have agreed to be part of this traditional Forum we have been hosting for the last four years.”

The Boca Raton Tribune Candidate Forum has been the place where candidates can come and talk about their policy, ideas, and plans for the future of Boca Raton and be in contact with many of the residents of the city that can sway an election.

The Seat A Forum is sold out, however, tickets are still available for the Mayoral Forum on August 24 and you can get your ticket by clicking here.

Boca Chamber Radio will be broadcasting the event live online and on their app so those who are not able to be there in person can tune in to their app to listen to the event, as well as listen on Demand later.

Readers and residents are encouraged to submit their questions, as the forum will be based mostly on reader-generated questions. Questions should be sent to candidateforum@bocaratontribune.com or post to the newspaper’s Facebook page; reference the upcoming Candidates Forum along with your query. Questions will be reviewed by the Boca Raton Tribune’s editorial staff, and Editor C. Ron Allen, who will be the Forum’s moderator.

The Boca Raton Tribune and Boca Chamber Radio are sponsoring the forum to supplement the coverage of the Boca Raton City Elections this year.
