After three and a half years of success, Savor Our City, (www.SavorOurCity.com) headquartered in Boca Raton, FL is excited to announce new offerings and the expansion of their brand into further South and Central Florida and New England markets. Founded in 2014 by Denise Righetti, SOC began offering historical walking food tours encompassing South Florida eateries. The popularity and demand for these tours have additionally allowed Savor Our City to grow their team, adding three new members to their staff to accommodate current and future growth.
“When we started our company almost four years ago, we had a mission to introduce quality culinary experiences to both locals and visitors within the Boca Raton and Delray Beach areas, and began to see a surge in requests for private group tours from local companies, social groups and those in town for conventions,” says Founder and Chief Foodie Officer Denise Righetti. “It was a natural fit for us to add more locations and build new experiences around what our guests were responding to, and we are excited to further our expansion as our company continues to grow.”
Since its inception, Savor Our City has become the go-to resource for locals and vacationers alike to explore South Florida eateries and get a taste of the city via their public walking food tours and bi-monthly e-newsletter. After seeing major success with their private group business, the company has decided to eliminate public tours in favor of private tours and experiences with particular focus on groups.
“Local companies are seeking us out for team building and client appreciation events,” says Righetti. “Residents from luxury residential communities and groups of friends celebrating milestone birthdays book us to create something special for their group.” Notably, in 2017 Savor Our City started a unique model with Merrill Lynch to run client appreciation events with current plans to roll out in other cities across Florida and beyond.
In an effort to better serve the varied needs and interests of their guests, Savor Our City has added transportation to accommodate their unique dine-arounds covering greater ground, as well as cooking and mixology classes, wine and craft beer tastings and scavenger hunts. The expansion of offerings doesn’t end there – Savor Our City now offers their services across major South and Central Florida cities including Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Palm Beach and Orlando.
To support the enhanced and expanded services offered, the 100% woman owned company has brought on a full time Operations Director, Product Development Manager and a Sales Manager to spearhead new and existing initiatives. Jake Melvold has been brought on as the company’s new Director of Operations and runs the company’s satellite office in beautiful downtown Orlando; while Annette Morejón oversees operations of food tours and activities in the Miami area, bringing 17 years of experience in the travel industry; additionally, Dawn Bryan brings her extensive background in hospitality communications to the role of Sales Manager, helping to grow company’s brand and develop business in the South Florida market.
