MMA featherweight Aaron Rajman, 25, was killed in his Boca Raton on Monday, July 3 following a home invasion.

Deputies responded to a shooting at 10:24 p.m. in Ramjan’s Boca Raton home in the 22700 block of 65th Terrace.  Upon arrival, deputies learned that unknown males entered the home where an altercation ensued that resulted in a male being shot.

Rajman was found deceased due to gunshot wounds. This shooting was the second in a six-minute span in the Palm Beach County area. The suspects have not been identified and are thought to have fled in a vehicle after the killing.

Ramjan’s killing came as a tragedy to all who knew him.

MMA fighter and friend Steve “The Creepy Weasel” Montgomery tweeted out his thoughts the following day.

“A good person and friend has passed,” he wrote. “Rest in peace and power Aaron, you will be missed and thought of often.”

Ramjan was known in the MMA world for his strong Jewish faith, and at times would even walk into the ring wearing tzitzit and a yarmulke.

On an essay that he wrote in the website MMAFutures.com, Rajman explained his run-ins with law enforcement officers, drugs, and other negative things.

Rajman stated that his faith and his family had been his main focus since then, and attributed them as the things that saved him.

Ramjan was so invested in his faith, that he was even known to cook Sabbath dinner for his family and friends every now and again.

As an amateur, his record was 8-1. Since he entered the MMA three years ago and went professional, he racked up a 2-2 record.

The MMA fighter was dealing with recuperating from a leg injury he had recently suffered and was training to get ready for his next fight.

The MMA South Florida Facebook page posted: “The world lost another warrior today. RIP Aaron Rajman. You will be missed.”
