Several schools from Boca Raton were the team to look out for in the Fall sports for the 2015-16 season.

The local football giant Atlantic High of Delray went head to head against Boca High in the Region semi-finals. Boca High had just gained confidence in how good they were but fell to Atlantic. But Atlantic High football couldn’t stand up to the competition and lost to Flanagan High of Pembroke Pines who went on to be Class 8A State Champions.

Looking into the new season to come, Boca High Bobcats football team now knows and believes in the potential that they have and in the 2016-2017 season can be a force to be reckoned with.

In volleyball West Boca High had a very promising 2015-2016 season however met their match in the Region Semifinal game, where they lost to St. Thomas Aquinas High who went on to win it all for Class 7A.

Also the Boca Christian girls volleyball team, for the second year in-a-row made it to the final 4. However again came up short to Lake Worth Christian where twins Hannah and Kendall Berry went head-to-head. Lake Worth Christian went on to win the Class 2A State Championship but Boca Christian Head Coach Len Visser believes in three times the charm and promises that they will knock on the State Championship door again.

Lastly in Cross Country, Boca Christian’s Tucker Hindle was proud to bring back the first State Championship for the city of Boca Raton. Not only was it the first state champion for the school, but Hindle was the first boy in Boca Raton to win the Cross Country State Championship

In retrospect, the 2015-2016 fall season was very promising but looking ahead the future looks even brighter for the city of Boca Raton, with all schools with their sights set on a State Championship.
