Early Morning Shooting Leaves 1 Dead, Another Injured

An early morning shooting at an apartment complex has left one person dead and another hospitalized, police said.

The shooting in the 2800 block of Northeast Second Avenue occurred shortly after 4 a.m., police said. The complex is just east of Florida Atlantic University’s campus.

The incident is under investigation but early reports indicate it may have started after an altercation.

Both victims were taken to Delray Medical Center where one of them later died. The condition of the second victim has not been released.
