Boca Raton Women Carjacked At Gunpoint

Boca Raton Police are investigating an armed carjacking that occurred in the parking lot of the Boca Tecca apartments on 5601 NW 2nd Avenue at 11:50 p.m. on Friday, Fed. 19.

 

The victims, Melinda Reinders, 23, and Catherine Agro, 24, were waiting in Reinder’s red Infiniti FX35 for an Uber ride to Delray Beach. But before their ride arrived, two unidentified male opened the door, drew guns to both Agro and Reinder’s heads, and ordered them to get out of the vehicle and onto the ground.

 

As soon as both women exited the Infiniti two additional men entered the vehicle, and drove off, last being seen driving southbound on NW 2nd Avenue.

 

Multiple items were lost in the carjacking, including an iPhone, a Michael Kors bag, and wallet with multiple credit cards.

 

Reinders and Agro described all four suspects as black males, with the two who held them at gunpoint wearing black clothing and black covers on their faces.

 

The investigation is still ongoing, and Boca Raton Police advise anyone who has information that could aid them to contact Crime Stoppers at 800-458-TIPS, or Detective Tim Kurdys at 561-338-1377.
