Current World Record holders and Gold Medalists Bruce Gipson and Lee McGregor have broken
their own World Record.
Gipson and McGregor first made the trek from Bimini to Fort Lauderdale 31 years ago breaking the record for fastest crossing of the Gulf Stream under human power by sea kayak. It took them 11 hrs. and 46 min. No one has since broken the record.
Until now.
Gipson and McGregor have once again broken their own record, this time making the trip in less than eight hours.
The Florida native and Boca Raton resident, Bruce Gipson has won over 150 kayak racing events and competed worldwide.
