Strikers at Boca has been around for about 34 years, although the name has changed a few times.

From Don Carter’s All Star Lanes, to Boca Bowl, Boca Raton’s longtime bowling alley, Strikes At Boca, has been the home to many as a source of entertainment and social outings. With inexpensive bowling rates, the bowling alley has successfully attracted numerous summer camps, birthday parties, families, and corporate meetings.

The normal weeknight rate is $15.00 per lane, for one hour of bowling. Shoe rentals are $3.75. While these rates alone are fairly cheap, it is the weekly specials that attract the majority of customers.

On mondays after 8pm, beer, bowling and shoe rentals are all $.99. On tuesdays after 9pm, bowling is $7.00 per person, including shoe rentals. The wednesday madness special includes $.25 games and shoe rentals, and $.99 beer. Three Olives Thursdays is an all you can bowl special, with $7.00 bowling and three olive vodka drinks for only $3.50.

When asked for her opinion on Strikes at Boca, Morgan Otto, a local West Boca teenager stated “It’s not as expensive as every other place.”

On both Friday and Saturday night, the typical bowling alley atmosphere changes into a disco light show with a DJ. The rate on friday from 5pm-8pm is $3.99 per person, including shoe rentals.

Open on Sundays, all day bowling passes are available for only $10.00 per person, including shoe rentals.

Ronnie Belletieri, the owner of Strikes at Boca for 10 years, says that “The all day pass on Sunday is a great deal, people can come and go as they please.”

As the bowling alley has gone from a dying sport to a teen hangout spot, customers frequently enjoy the snack bar’s variety of food, the full bar and the mini arcade.

According to Belletieri, in their past two food inspections the bowling alley has passed with a 100%.

Student Ashley Grandovic says that Strikes At Boca is “A great time with great people and quality service”.

Although the equipment is aged and sometimes faulty, the general establishment runs efficiently. It is safe and clean. With its 50 employees and 64 lanes, Strikes At Boca makes bowling a fun, social and affordable activity.
