Boca Raton Police investigate grand theft at bank

Boca Raton, FL – Detectives from the Boca Raton Police Services Department are looking for  multiple suspects who stole jewelry, cash and documents from five safety deposit boxes at the Chase Bank, 3901 N. Federal Highway.  The incident happened around noon on Saturday, April 25, 2015.

According to bank employees, six individuals entered the bank separately over the course of a couple of minutes.  Once inside, two suspects with duffle bags went to the area where the safety deposit boxes are located, while the other individuals distracted employees.  Once in the safety deposit area, the two suspects pried open five boxes and removed the contents and then exited the bank. The suspects were observed wearing Bluetooth earpieces. Witnesses say they saw a champagne colored minivan leave the area at a high rate of speed. They also saw one suspect walk north toward the BP gas station and one walk south toward the Wells Fargo bank.

The suspects are described as Hispanic males, in their 20’s-30’s, no hats, 5’08”-5’10” tall, average build. Well dressed, one wearing white dress shirt with pin stripes, the other wearing a blue dress shirt.  If anyone has information, please call Detective Terry Payne at 561-620-6221 or Crime Stoppers at 800-458-TIPS.
