Helen L. Greco Obituary

Helen L. GrecoGRECO, Helen L. Green, 91 Entered into eternal rest on February 28, 2015 with her beloved husband and family by her side. Born in Melrose, Massachusetts on August 16, 1923, Helen was the daughter of William A. Green and Elizabeth J. Doherty Green. She was a career gal and shortly after graduating from Stoneham High School in 1941, she headed straight for New York. There she started her career with The Radice Construction Company where she served as Assistant Controller. Overseeing building costs on major projects such as the Edgewater Arms at Fort Lauderdale at a time when Florida was beginning it’s boom. Helen had a great business mind and later worked for Ronald Kelly of the Ford Motor Company in Stamford, Ct., as General Manager of Auto Lease of America, Inc. A role reserved for men only, Helen was a pioneer in the industry as one of the first women to hold such a position. By far, Helen’s greatest accomplishment was the love of her life, her husband of 56 years, Bill Greco. Bill worked for the Riverside Post Office for many years and is a well known entertainer in the area as well as Boca Raton. They were blessed with an unfailing devotion to one another that was truly amazing and admirable. They adored each other and the longevity of their marriage speaks for itself. Helen and Bill retired to Boca Raton, Florida in the early 1980’s and continued to share a wonderful life together. Theirs was a great love affair and Helen along with Bill loved entertaining friends and family. She was blessed with many life long friends and often regaled us with stories and her infectious laughter. She will be greatly missed. Helen was predeceased by her sisters, Rita E. Burns and Betty Muse. She leaves behind her husband William J. Greco (BILL), Nephew, Joseph P. Greco III and wife Cheryl of Pompano Beach, FL. Niece, Mary-jean Williamson and husband Kirk of Riverside, CT. Great niece and nephew Katherine and J. Patrick Williamson. Nephew Thomas Muse and wife Sue Ellen of Kennebunkport, ME. Niece Elizabeth White of Derry, NH. and five great nieces and nephews throughout the New England area.
A Memorial service will be held at St. Catherine of Siena chapel, Riverside, CT. on April 18, 2015 at 11:00am.
