On October 21, 2014, deputies responded to a shooting in the 200 block of SW 6th Street, Belle Glade, (Dees Lounge). Two victims were located two blocks away in front of 200 SW 5th Street, Belle Glade.
Initial investigation revealed that both victims were hanging out in front of Dees Lounge when two unknown males came from side of the building on SW Ave C and fired at the victims. One victim was struck in the leg and the other in the stomach. Both ultimately transported to St, Mary’s Medical Center. Both expected to survive.
Suspects were described as black males. Both were armed with handguns and fled in a southeast direction.
Unknown motive at this time. Investigation is still active and ongoing.
