Dubbed by her friends the “Margaret Thatcher” of Stonebridge, Mrs. Gail Izsak is known for her strong arm – soft heart – listening well, and then getting things done.
Perhaps that’s why, within only three months of her tenure as president she and her Board of Governors finalized engineering the reconstruction of the Stonebridge Golf Course (ground breaking in February 2015) and, as if that wasn’t enough, appointed John Iannotti as the Club’s new General Manager and COO.
Iannotti is well known for his depth of knowledge and experience in country club management, having spent nine years managing St. Andrews Country Club in Boca, and then running the luxurious Fisher Island Resort off Miami.
Mrs. Izsak is a full-time resident of Stonebridge who served on its Board for four years before being elected President. Retired from business, in her previous Life she managed an Electroencephalographic lab testing for brain disorders, undertaking both clinical and research work at a major North American children’s hospital. She was also in the retail jewelry business. Soft spoken, she is a tenacious, no-nonsense, results- oriented free spirit who is not afraid to use her gavel to maintain order in her Board meetings.
Stonebridge has taken even a further step into matriarchy. Mrs.Izsak tapped Leslie Greenberg for the vice president position. Mrs. Greenberg, also a full-time resident, with a very successful business career in her background, is considered a great asset in helping the new president in her Club activities.
Mrs. Izsak’s husband, Dr. John Izsak, was asked how he feltabout his wife being president of his Club. He said, “I am immensely proud of Gail for the work she is doing, and what she has accomplished in such a short time.”
