With Municipal Elections fast approaching in Boca Raton, the League of Women Voters of Palm Beach County will be sponsoring a candidate forum for mayor and city council seats B and D. The event will take place on Wednesday, February 26th at 6:30pm at 6500 N Congress Ave. in Boca Raton, and will be moderated by League member Barbara Eriv.
Among the candidates in attendance are:
For mayor: Anthony Majhess and Susan Haynie
For seat B (three year term), are: Mohammed G. Abdalla, Craig Ehrnst, Eric Gooden, and Michael Mullaugh
For seat D (one year term): Rosetta V. Bailey, Robert Weinroth and Yaniv Alcalay.
During the forum, candidates will be stating their positions relevant to issues facing the city of Boca Raton, and attendees will have the chance to submit questions as candidates make their case for election.
The mission of the League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan organization, which does not endorse candidates, is to encourage good citizenship and an educated electorate.
The event is open to the general public and all voters are encouraged to attend.
