BOCA RATON, FL – This year, the holidays will be most magical at Mizner Park, 327 Plaza Real in Boca Raton, with a spectacular display featuring a 47’ Christmas tree…one of only three in the United States. The West Boca Raton Community High School Jazz Band will help light up the tree on Thursday, November 21st at 6:30 p.m. The event is FREE and open to the public.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a new unwrapped toy to benefit Toys for Tots, and children young and old are invited to leave a message for Santa Claus in the North Pole Express mail box.
Five 25-minute free musical Tree performances will happen nightly from November 21 through the holiday season at 5:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m., 8:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. The tree will be illuminated between shows.
The “iTree” consists of more than 32,000 life-like PVC branches, red & gold bows, ornament clusters and 25,000 clear & multi-colored LED lights to bring nightly musical light shows to Mizner Park. Developed by Music N’ Motion, the company’s proprietary technology allows each light string to be choreographed by the second to holiday music. Pre-display production includes up to one hour of time in synchronizing 30 seconds of music.
Complimenting the tree will be a giant wooden dreidel, carolers, gifts, working toy train set, ornaments, 3’ teddy bear, and two 6 foot life-like toy soldiers on stilts.
Throughout Mizner Park, 50,000 LED lights will adorn 75 palm trees; poles will be laced with garland; lights and four wreaths (each 60” in diameter) will be placed throughout the center; garland will be swooped throughout the gazebos and the valet parking station – all of which will be decorated with lights and holiday trimmings.
