“Bow Wow and Meow” Fundraiser for Tri-County Humane Society Set for Nov. 16

By Terri Slater

A fundraiser to benefit Tri-County Humane Society will be held on Saturday, Nov. 16 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Delray Marketplace Amphitheater and courtyard next to Burt & Max’s Restaurant.

The amphitheater and courtyard is on the corner of West Atlantic Avenue and Lyons Road, west of Delray Beach.

Help our furry friends when you and your family join the fun at the first annual “Bow Wow and Meow” fundraiser to benefit the Tri-County Humane Society.  Sponsored by Rapoport’s Restaurant Group, “Bow Wow and Meow” will be an afternoon guaranteed to entertain everyone, with activities.

The event will feature athletic performances by The Achieve Agility Dogs from Davie. These talented pooches will show off their skills as they blaze through an amazing variety of jumps, hurdles and obstacles.

There will also be raffles for prizes donated by Delray Marketplace retailers and area merchants as well as live music by top South Florida bands: Amber Leigh and Speechless. Burt & Max’s Restaurant will provide complimentary appetizers and drinks.

There will be a pet adoption tent where the public can meet and greet possible future family members. Anyone who adopts a pet will receive a  $100 gift card from Rapoport’s Restaurant Group.

“We are thrilled to be part of this wonderful event and look forward to seeing the community turn out for an afternoon of fun for a great cause,” said Burt Rapoport, president of Rapoport’s Restaurant Group, Inc.

Advance tickets are $20 per adult and include two drinks and appetizers.  Children are free.  To purchase tickets visit bowwowandmeow.eventbrite.com or call 561-482-8110.
