30th Anniversary Partnership of Serving Thanksgiving Dinner to 5,000

For the 30th consecutive year, a church and synagogue will partner to serve a Thanksgiving dinner to over 5,000 people in need.

Congregation B’nai Israel’s Kantor Family Center for Justice and the Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church in Boca Raton will continue the tradition on Tuesday, Nov. 26  from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m.at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 200, NE 12th Street, Boca Raton

Attendees this year will include individuals and families served by a number of local nonprofit organizations. Invited are In the Pines, SOS Children’s Village, Boca Raton Housing Authority, Caridad Center, the Haven, the Jewish Association for Residential Care, the Lord’s Place, Youth Activity Center, The Farm Workers Council, Jim/Jan Moran Boys & Girls Club, New Pines Neighborhood Center, Barton’s Boosters, and Weinberg House. Outreach is also being made to homeless people as well as people living in transitional housing.

Local restaurants and country clubs donated or discounted the food, beverages, and other products. There will also be live music for dancing and overall merriment. This is open to all.
