The Olympic Heights Marching Band is in a competition on WKIS – Kiss Country’s Battle of the High School Marching Bands.
The Kiss Country’s Battle of the High School Bands is presented by Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, U18 Sports Medicine and Miami Dade Technical Centers.

The winning marching band will win $5000 for their program.
Olympic Heights has a strong marching band tradition. The Mighty Lion Marching Band won back-to-back State Championships, in the 2004 Marching Season with their show titled “Category V” and 2005 with their show entitled “Vesuvius”.
More recently, the Mighty Lion Marching Band were Grand Champions for the Ruby Division at the Crown Jewel Marching Band Festival in 2012.
