Longtime Resident of Boca Raton passed away Sunday

Harold Abraham Gitomer, 94, recently of Naples, Fl, and a longtime resident of Boca Raton FL and Pittsburgh, PA,  passed away on Sunday October 20, 2013 after a short hospital stay.  He was married for 72 years to Mildred Dobres Gitomer who predeceased him in 2012; was a loving father of Carole Hoch (Charles)of Bonita Springs, FL and Greensburg, PA , Mark (Susan) of Edgewood, PA and Dr. Richard ( Margaret Campbell) of Atlanta, GA.  He was the grandfather of Jennifer Sullivan, Andrea Schwartz, (Drew) Schwartz,Alexandra Gitomer, Austin Gitomer and David Campbell Gitomer.  He served our country in WWII in the European theater earning (3) battle stars.  During his many years as an apparel contractor, employing as many as 800 people, manufacturing was always closest to his heart.  He taught that patience and lots of hard work are the keys to managing people.  In his younger years, he learned to fly, enjoying his hobby.  He never missed a family gathering and instilled in all the importance of family.

Funeral arrangements will be private.  Remembrances may be made to the Hope Hospice in Bonita Springs, FL or a charity of choice.
