Boca Raton, FL – At approximately 8:45AM Boca Raton Firefighters responded to a townhouse fire located at 7200 NW 2 Avenue, Unit #84. A neighbor called 911 and stated that dark smoke was coming from inside Unit #84. Boca Raton Fire Rescue Services personnel found upon their arrival flames and smoke coming from kitchen area of the home. The occupant mentioned that he may have left a briefcase on the stovetop when he ran out for coffee just previous to the reported fire. Thanks to the quick actions of Boca Raton Firefighters the fire was confined to the kitchen, but smoke damage was throughout the first floor of the home. No injuries were reported. The fire is under investigation by Boca Raton Fire Rescue Services Department
