A Celebration to Remember

Two-time Oscar-winning singer/songwriter Carol Connors was in town recently. She attended the birthday celebration for Yaacov Heller of Gallery 22 in Royal Palm Plaza.  Connors is most famously known for co-writing the “Rocky” theme song, which earned her an Academy Award nomination.

Based in Los Angeles, Connors began her singing career as a member of the Teddy Bears, a late 50s vocal group that also featured Phil Spector in its line-up.

Heller is an internationally known sculptor, jeweler and silversmith. His remarkable talents have gained him the recognition of world leaders, statesmen, famous entertainers, movie stars, and most importantly, fine art collectors. He has been commissioned time and again to create historically significant gifts for kings and queens, presidents, prime ministers, and other international dignitaries. His creations celebrate the inspiration of the Bible, the traditions of Judaica, the beauty of nature, and the joys of living. Most recently, he can be seen on the QVC television network showcasing jewelry inspired by the beauty of nature.
