“If Not You, Then Who?”

Boca Raton, FL – Three burglars were trying to have a pre-Thanksgiving feast at the expense of City residents.  On Wednesday, November 21st, around 1:00 pm, a concerned resident on Timbercreek Circle called to say someone knocked on his door asking for someone who didn’t live there.  The driver and two occupants immediately left the area, but the resident observed the car driving slowly around on the next street over.

A member of the Boca Raton Police Tac Team responded to the area to look for the car.  The officer spotted the car in a driveway at 2370 NW 26th Street and one of the occupants was at the front door of the home.  As the officer was turning around, the car left the driveway at a high rate of speed.  The officer radioed to other units in the area who quickly set up a perimeter.

Officers responding found the car traveling toward St. Andrews Boulevard.  Two officers nearby set up their Stop Sticks to try and slow the vehicle down.  The car approached at a high rate of speed and tried to swerve to avoid them .  One tire of the vehicle hit the Stop Sticks, but it  fled the area at a high rate of speed.  The vehicle was located after it was involved in a crash near the entrance of the Swim and Racquet club on Saint Andrews Boulevard.  The suspects fled on foot, but all three were quickly apprehended by responding officers.

Officers found a wallet on the ground next to one suspect with numerous credit cards and the owners address written on a piece of paper.  In the rental car, officers found a pillow case with a large wooden jewelry box inside, a red pillow case with numerous pieces of jewelry, a window punch, three cell phones, a can of pepper spray and a watch.

A canvas of the neighborhood found two homes had been broken into.  All three suspects were charged with Burglary, Possession of Burglary Tools, Possession of Stolen Property.  Doe and McFadden were charged with Resisting without Violence.  Westbrook was also charged with leaving the scene of an accident without rendering aid to a seriously injured party.
