Literary Agent Betsy Lerner Presents “What Writers Need to Know”

Lerner is a partner at the literary agency, Dunow, Carlson, and Lerner.  Prior to becoming an agent, she worked as an editor for 16 years at major trade publishers, including Simon & Schuster, Houghton Mifflin and Doubleday. As an agent, she largely represents non-fiction writers in the areas of science, psychology, history, cultural studies, biography, current events and memoir.

Hanlon’s lecture is titled “Jorge Sanjinés’ ‘All-Encompassing Sequence Shot’: From Revolutionary Practice to Indigenismo?” Jorge Sanjinés is best remembered in the United States for his 1969 film, “Blood of the Condor,” which was partly responsible for the Peace Corps being kicked out of Bolivia in 1971.
