Spodak Dental Group to break ground for new “green” facility

DELRAY BEACH — The Spodak Dental Group, under the guidance and strategic direction of Dr. Craig Spodak, has announced the groundbreaking of its new, 13,000 square foot, LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified dental facility.

The ceremony will take place Nov. 9 at 3 p.m. at the facility’s 3911 West Atlantic Avenue location. The new state-of-the art “green” facility will house a comprehensive team of dental and medical professionals.

Dr. Spodak is nationally known for his patient-focused practice which features general dentists, an endodontist, a periodontist, an oral/maxillofacial surgeon, MD anesthesiologists, and a ceramic artist from its on-site dental laboratory.

The new building, scheduled to open in late summer 2013, will be an environmentally sound, holistic structure with lush landscape designed to comfort patients and provide an array of environmental benefits. The design team includes Richard Jones Architecture, the Michael Singer Studio and Kast Construction.

“I embarked on the creation of this new facility because I wanted to provide my patients with the most advanced dental care in an environment that would complement the revolutionary services we deliver,” said Spodak. “As important as all of my team’s advanced treatments are, it is equally important that that my patients’ surroundings promote their health and well-being.”

A key design goal was to create abundant natural lighting and indoor spaces that feel a part of the surrounding landscapes and gardens via the large window areas. “I am creating this building with the patient experience in mind,” said Dr. Spodak, the winner of the 2012 Delray Beach Business Person of the Year award.

The new facility will feature 18 dental operatories, laboratory space, offices, gathering spaces, a learning center, a waiting area and support spaces.
