FAU to Host Presidential Debate Watch Party

BOCA RATON – Florida Atlantic University’s department of political science in the Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters and Living Room Theaters will host a watch party for the first 2012 Presidential Debate on Wednesday, Oct. 3 at 8:30 p.m. in the Living Room Theaters on FAU’s Boca Raton campus.

The debate, airing live from theUniversityofDenver, will focus on domestic policy. It will be divided into six time segments of approximately 15 minutes each on the following topics (selected by the moderator): The Economy – I, The Economy – II, The Economy – III, Health Care, The Role of Government, Governing. A political science professor will provide a short introduction at 8:30 p.m. leading up to the 9 p.m. debate. The debate is scheduled to last until approximately 10:30 p.m.

There is no charge to attend, but you must RSVP to confirm your seat by emailing debates2012@livingroomtheatres.com. Additional seating in the Living Room Theaters café will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Food and beverage will also be available for purchase in the café.
