Boca Police snap up three suspects for thefts at Victoria’s Secret

BOCA RATON–Boca Ratonpolice on Friday, July 27, arrested three suspects in connection with a theft of some $9,000 worth of merchandise from theVictoria’s Secret Store at theTownCenteratBoca Ratonmall, police said.

About 4:40 p.m., officers responded to a report of a retail theft.

Officers and detectives met withVictoria’s Secret loss prevention manager who had called police as the theft was happening. Her described the theft, the merchandise that was taken, police said, and gave a detailed description of the suspects.

The manager said two male suspects got away in a Nissan Sentra and the female suspect got into a Cadillac Escalade. Officers located the suspects at a nearby gas station and identified them as Danny Torreira, 21, and Leonidas Herrera, 24, both ofMiamiGardens, and Michelle Feliciano, 42, ofPembroke Pines.

According to police, Feliciano told officers that Herrera was her nephew, but denied any involvement in a theft. Torreira refused to speak with officers.

Police said Herrera admitted to officers that the three of them would work in concert stealing merchandise using a booster bag. The loss prevention manager identified the three suspects as those who stole the merchandise. Herrera admitted to committing two previous thefts with Feliciano; one on May 25th and the other on July 19th.

Officers recovered more than $9,000 in stolen merchandise from the Nissan Sentra, which was rented by Feliciano. Detectives charged Herrera and Torreira with grand theft and using an anti-shoplifting device. Feliciano was charged with grand theft and distracting a merchant during the offense. Feliciano and Herrera were also charged in the earlier crimes, with two counts of retail theft and two counts of conspiracy to commit retail theft.
