Woman’s purse stolen while she loads groceries

Boca Raton, FL – On Tuesday, July 10 at 12:15 in the afternoon, Boca Raton Police officers responded to a robbery that occurred in the parking lot of the Publix Store in Palmetto Park Square, 1339 West Palmetto Park Road.

The victim told officers she was pushing a shopping cart, which contained groceries and her purse, to her parked car. She briefly turned away from the cart to open the trunk when she saw a male run by and grab her purse. The victim initially struggled to hold onto her purse, but she could not pull the purse from his grasp. The suspect ran to a waiting small silver car, got into the passenger seat and the driver fled the plaza. The victim was not injured.

Black male, late teens or early 20’s
Appx. 5’10” tall, thin build
Wearing a white t-shirt, white cargo shorts
