SANFORD-BROWN FORT LAUDERDALE TO HOST COMMUNITY BLOOD DRIVE TO BENEFIT AURORA, COLORADO VICTIMS

WHAT: In the wake of last week’s tragedy, many of the local hospitals and blood centers in Aurora, CO are in desperate need of resources. The Fort Lauderdale community can lend a hand by giving blood at Sanford-Brown’s blood drive on campus next Saturday, August 4. Anyone in the area is invited to participate.

Sanford-Brown is partnering with Community Blood Centers of South Florida Inc. to coordinate the donations. All proceeds will go directly to the Bonfils Blood Center – the Aurora community blood bank that provided nearly 350 units of blood to treat the victims of the July 20th tragedy. Any unmatched or unneeded blood donations will go to replenish the national blood bank.
