American Organization of Teachers of Portuguese Asks For Your Support

The American Organization of Teachers of Portuguese (AOTP), along with Mr. Jonathan Asbell (parent  and resident of Palm Beach County), formally request your signature on the attached petition as a show of interest from the community in establishing a Dual Language (Bilingual) English-Portuguese program and elective Portuguese language classes (for Middle and High School) in the Palm Beach School District. These courses would enrich and serve the students in the community, regardless of their heritage or language spoken at home.

For more information about this petition please email the American Organization of Teachers of Portuguese (info@aotpsite.org) or Jonathan Asbell at (jonathan@spbproperties.com).

Please sign and provide the information as indicated. The last day to sign the petition is September 1st, 2012.

The Petition can be signed at: http://www.change.org/petitions/establish-a-dual-language-english-portuguese-program-and-elective-portuguese-classes?utm_medium=email&utm_source=share_petition

AOTP has also initiated an online survey designed for parents, regardless of where they live in Florida, who are interested in having their children attending Portuguese classes in Palm Beach county. This survey will be very helpful in assisting  the Multicultural Educational Department in planning strategies for the implementation of Portuguese programs. Here is the link for the survey that also ends on September 1st, 2012: http://www.surveymethods.com/EndUser.aspx?BA9EF2EBBAF8E8EEB0

Thank you for your support.
