Boca Raton, FL – The inaugural Boca Raton Bus Loop rolls into town on Friday evening, June 1, with proceeds going to three of Boca’s nonprofit organizations: the Spirit of Giving Network, Junior League of Boca Raton and Golden Bell Scholarship Foundation. This well-planned, tried and true fundraising event takes place in collaboration with Downtown Boca’s monthly Friday Night LIVE! (FNL) entertainment series and will provide revelers with a bar-hopper’s dream of hotspots to ring in the summer with and enjoy FNL’s “Summertime Fest” theme featuring Jimmy Stowe & The Stowaways performing live, many Jimmy Buffet Floribbean favorites and others at Sanborn Park in the heart of the bus loop route.
The Bus Loop kicks off at 6p.m. with tickets being sold in advance online for $20 or at two check-in locations for a walk-up fee of $25 per person. The cost covers a drink/item at each location until 11p.m. and rides on the trolleys until midnight. Some of Downtown Boca’s best pubs and restaurants are participating, including The Dubliner, The Spaniard, Wishing Well, Mario’s Osteria, FAU Living Room Theatre, The Black Rose Irish Pub, Funky Biscuit, Rebel House, Platforms, and Tucci’s Pizza.
There is no limit on how long guests stay at each place. Event Chairman and Organizer John Haley asks that guests tip on whatever they order and of course, be responsible in getting home safely by either designating a driver (designated drivers receive free admission), walking to the check-in locations or taking a taxi.
The free trolleys will continue in a loop from three locations: Mizner Park, FAU/Glades Road and Royal Palm Place. Check-in locations are The Spaniard (99 SE Mizner Blvd, Downtown Boca Raton) and FAU Living Room Theatre (FAU campus) with check-in beginning at 5:30pm.
