BOCA RATON – On Saturday May 12, Boca Raton Fire Rescue Services hosts its annual Fire Station Open House.
From 10 a.m. to noon, residents throughout the city are invited to visit their neighborhood fire station. Families and friends are invited to stop by for a visit, take a complete tour of the facilities, see a demonstration of firefighting and emergency medical vehicles and equipment and meet the men and women who protect their city.
Traditionally, neighborhood fire stations throughout the country have been a safe haven and often a focal point for adults and children. These fire stations would open their truck room doors to find children waiting to see the trucks, and say hello to their firefighters.
Boca Raton Fire Rescue is hoping to bring neighborhoods, families and firefighters closer together by offering them an inside, up close and personal look into their fire station.
