The Rotary Club of Boca Raton to Produce the 9th annual Future Stars Performing Arts Competition

On May 5th., The Rotary Club of Boca Raton will produce the 9th Annual Future Stars Performing Arts Competition at the Keith C. & Elaine Johnson Wold Performing Arts Center on the Lynn University Campus.  Featuring South Florida’s finest middle and high school vocal & dance artists, these students will compete to be this year’s Future Star Winner.

“Once, again Rick Taylor(Past Rotary President and Executive Producer) will lead 40 plus, amazingly talented Rotarian volunteers to produce one of the most professional events these students will possibly ever perform in”, says current president Doug Mummaw.

50 young artists will compete for best Middle and High School Vocalist, Solo Dance & Group Dance  Artists. Schools throughout south florida will be represented.

Flossy Keesely, Founder of Flossy Keesely’s Dream Foundation will once again headline the Rotary Club of Boca Raton’s Community Partners. This is the 4th year Flossy has been involved with the Competition and past winners of Future Stars recently performed at Flossy’s “Pathway to the Stars Musical Showcase”. This is a free concert to the city of Boca Raton’s citizens. Flossy’s show included past present and future stars performers. Flossy is also a Rotarian in the Club.

“This year, there are more young men competing and at a surprising high level of talent. Some of these young artists are going to surprise both their competitors and the audience”, says Executive Producer – Rick Taylor.

Solo and group dance will be spectacular. The Wold theater was used last Spring to showcase past Future Stars winning choreographer, Billy Bell and his dance group collective  who performed  “Origins”.  The Wold theater is one of the finest venues in the area and the dance presentations will be incredible ”, says Show Production Manager Michael Berkman.
