BOCA RATON — Firefighter/Paramedic Ron Devecki from Truck 7 received a lot of love from students at B’Nai Israel School at 2200 West Yamato Road during a recent visit.
Ron and his crew came spoke about fire safety, and showed students his firefighting gear. Talks such as these are used to teach young students not to be afraid of firefighters when they are dressed and ready to fight a fire. They are taught that even though they look different in their gear, “Firefighters Are Our Friends”.
After the talk Driver/Engineer Chad Kozlowski and Fire Captain Donnie West gave the students and teachers a tour of Truck 7. Boca Raton Fire Rescue Services visits schools and organizations throughout the year as part of their commitment to provide public education to the community.
