Anthony Majhess once again defeats the establishment.

Anthony Majhess once again defeated the establishment by winning re-election to the City Council.

Despite the endorsement of the four other Council members and heavy spending by the challenger Franck Chapman, Anthony Majhess won the Boca Raton City Council race.

Majhess won 56.30% of the votes, topping challenger Frank Chapman 43.70%, according to the Supervisor of Elections Office.

“Once again, the people have spoken,” he said.

After winning, Majhess said he plans to work in the same “cooperative spirit” on the council as he has in the past three years. And despite not being endorsed by none of the Council Members, Majhess says he holds “no grudges”.

In 2009 Majhess challenged the Boca Raton establishment when he won his first term on the City Council against incumbent Mike Arts, a former president of the Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce. The Boca Raton Chamber, endorsed  Chapman at this race.

Late, your Boca Raton Tribune, will post a exclusive interview with Anthony Majhess, the celebration at Ellenville, pictures and more information about this election.
