Santa, friends and helpers make Boca Fire Rescue toy delivery a success

BOCA RATON — On Saturday December 17th and Sunday December 18th, Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, elves and friends boarded a fire engine and delivered toys to good boys and girls throughout the city of Boca Raton.

Instead of his usual red sleigh, a fire engine driven by members of the Firefighters of Boca Raton Local 1560 loaded with gifts took Santa to visit the children.  The fire engine pulled down the street with the siren and air horn sounding to announce Santa had arrived.

This is the 21st year that members of Boca Raton Firefighters Local 1560, family and friends have been doing this event.  For a $20 donation per gift, Santa and his elves will deliver each gift on a fire engine to the child’s home.

This year’s proceeds will assist in sending holiday care packages to troops overseas, and funding college scholarships for eligible students within our community.

The firefighters of Boca Raton and special volunteers donated their time to make this program a successful part of their commitment to serving the community.
