Masked campers perform ‘Once upon a Mouse” at Children’s Museum

BOCA RATON – Children’s Museum of Boca Raton summer campers performed one of Aesop’s fables, “Once upon a Mouse,
July 22 at Jacob’s Music Hall on the grounds of the museum.

The play was a new approach to storyteller theatre through an updated version of timeless fables 

Youngsters worked with Adriani Teatro (Theatre) which returned to Boca Raton from Italy to share internationally acclaimed mask-making and drama workshops. Campers made animal masks used in the production. 

Participants took part in several tales, including “Belling the Lion,” “The Hare and the Tortoise,” “The Rooster and the Fox” and “The Grasshopper and the Ant.”

The Children’s Museum is a hands-on museum specializing in programs for children, highlighting the arts, sciences and humanities. It is located at 498 Crawford Boulevard, Boca Raton. Museum hours are Tuesday through Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. 

Admission is $5 per person, (infants under are admitted free)
